Burn Permits

The City of Harrison has updated its open burning regulations. Anyone planning to conduct open burning within city limits must first obtain a valid burn permit through the St. Maries Fire Protection District. 


How to Obtain a Burn Permit

  • Apply online through the St. Maries Fire Protection District at https://www.stmariesfire.com/burn-permit or call (208) 245-5253 for assistance.


Effective Date: Ordinance No. 498 was approved by the Harrison City Council on August 11, 2026, and became effective upon passage and publication as provided by law.


Important Reminder: A valid burn permit is required before conducting any open burning within Harrison city limits.

ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION NOTICE –FREDERICK AVENUE

Road Work Notice

Road work will begin the morning of Monday, September 21, across from 204 and 206 Frederick Avenue.

Traffic Impacts

  • The road may be closed to through traffic during active construction.
  • The road will reopen at the end of each workday, around 2:30 PM.
  • Expect delays and temporary access restrictions during work hours.
